With so many orthodontic options available, Dr. Grinbaum will explain what is medically recommended versus a cosmetic improvement. There is never pressure to do anything our way, because your smile is all about you.

Invisible Braces

Custom-fit inside each tooth, Incognito™ are high-tech precision gold braces and are the only 100% customized, invisible, fixed-braces system on the market.

Invisalign®

No wires or brackets, Invisalign® uses nearly invisible plastic, removable and comfortable aligners. They're a popular aesthetic choice for teens and adults.

Traditional Braces

Modern wire braces are smaller and a huge aesthetic improvement to what many adults remember. Teeth move faster and less painfully than in the past.

Early Treatment

Good dental health and a proud smile are important to your child's confidence and well being.

Many orthodontic problems can be minimized and corrected at an early age. Dr. Grinbaum follows the American Association of Orthodontists recommendation that an initial orthodontic evaluation should occur no later than the age of 7.

Crowded baby teeth, if treated while jaws are still developing, can be guided, which allows permanent teeth to grow into a natural and healthy position. This interceptive treatment often reduces the need for full orthodontic treatment, or at least reduces the amount of time required in full orthodontic appliances.

Benefits of early treatment include

  • Room for crowded, erupting teeth
  • Lower trauma to protruded front teeth
  • Reduced need for future tooth removal
  • Facial symmetry through influencing jaw growth.

Your child may need an orthodontic exam if any of the following warning signs are present

  • Early or late loss of baby teeth
  • Difficulty chewing or biting
  • Mouth breathing
  • Thumb sucking, or other oral habits
  • Crowded or blocked out teeth
  • Protruding teeth
  • Inability to comfortably close lips
  • Speech difficulty

Retainers

A fixed lingual retainer is considered the gold standard of orthodontic retention. A thin wire is attached directly to the inside surface of teeth to maintain positioning.

An invisible Essix retainer is a clear plastic aligner covering all tooth surfaces to maintain their position.

AcceleDent®

Speed your orthodontic treatment with a vibrating mouth piece to accelerate tooth movement. Twenty minutes of daily use can deliver results faster. AcceleDent® uses soft pulse technology, which enhances comfort.
